Blazer parts year interchangability 4x4
Hello
Thanks for taking time to read this. I am restoring a 1948 IH Panel truck, that has a 1988 S10 Blazer 4.3L front end frame welded to the original frame. It came to me with no drive train, I have a 2000 5.3L Vortec, and 2000 4L60E transmission, and am looking for a donor Blazer to furnish the rest of the parts I need, transfer case, front differential, ( truck has a Blazer rear axle ) etc. Yes, I know I need the front diff' to have the same gear ratio, which is 3:42.
My question, is, using a 2002 Blazer as an example, will that year front differential, mount, and will the CVJ's ( would be new ) work with the 1988 front wheel assemblies?
Thank you!
