Which is cheaper?

RE: Pros/Cons
Ok so everything's buttoned up. Mechanic took it for a test drive and said there's some whining at parking lot speeds. I took it for a quick test drive and confirmed the sound up to 25mph. Mech. says whine will go away. Said to come back in a month and he'll check wear pattern and adjust pinion depth.
I don't like the idea of driving around with things out of alignment back there. Will a new ring/pinion whine while it is still in the break-in period or should I drop it back off and have them adjust everything now and not drive on it?
Once again, should've just gone with an entire rear end out of a Bravada, this has been a headache and a half!

I WANT A LOCKER.
on a related note...
Congrats Gary! I could definitely see some noise/adjustments being needed as the metal wears in and coatings wear off etc etc....but I feel like it should be a few tens of miles, not a month of driving [&o]

RE: Pros/Cons
Ya, installation instructions said first run at 15-20 mins to get up to operating temp. Then take it easy the first 200 miles. Then drain and refill gear oil. I'm thinking of taking it back after the 200 mile mark just to be safe. Just want to be done with this!
