Post Clanging noise when hitting bumps

So i just changed the shocks, front hubs, and brakes on my truck a month or so ago, and every time i hit a decent sized bump, it sounds like something metal is hitting against each other. I've isolated the noise to the front drivers side, any clues as to what it may be?

Could be a loose shock, caliper, or sway-bar link. That's what I'd check first.

Is it a thunk or a ping?

For a non-thunk sound, make sure the brake backing plate isn't bent & touching something causing it to vibrate on a bump in road.

Went and checked all of the new components I put on and the bottom bolt on the drivers side shock had split in half. Put a bolt in and have no further noises.

I had an issue awhile back with a clunking noise on the driver side also.Come to find out, it was my hood hinges that had play in it.Open your hood, grab the area near the hinges if you can move it side to side or back and forth? You need to purchase a few conical washers from G.M. part#12383460.The hinge itself was ovalong shaped, which caused the play, which caused the noise. That was my problem, but it maybe something else in your situation..I never thought once my hinges where my culprit, until I grabbed the hood by the hinges. Then found out what the clunking noise was.
