Default drive axle removal

what is the best way to remove the front drive axle on a 4x4. i remove hub, steerring, rotors everything except spindle. i cant get the spindle off. i tried turning the wheel all to push it out of the side but im not sure if i should be using so much force.
What would be the easiest way to remove the drive axle out of the spindle?

It should just pop out toward the center of the truck. What I generally do is: Take off the six (eight?) bolts holding the axle inner hub to the drive flange, take off the nut on the out end, position the axle so I can back it toward the centerline of the truck some, crank the wheels all the way to the lock, and tap gently with a hammer till the axle comes loose, then just wiggle it around till I can pull it out.

Alternatively, you can take the spindle loose from the ball joints......

I beleive you remove the tierod from the spindal,so the spindal can turn enough to pull the axle out.
