Default greasing the suspension

So I'm greasing the ball joints that I put in and all the old ball joints and centerlink, etc. There is black grease coming out followed by the new grease. I have a conflicting answer for a simple question. My question is: How much grease is needed? I have been told if you grease the suspension to keep greasing until you have nothing coming out but good grease.
On the hand hand I have been told that you do not keep putting grease in when it starts to seep out the sides. That to stop before you blow the grease boots from putting in too much grease. Need help on which direction to go, thanks in advance.

I guess you just need to decide between clean grease in the joints and a greasy mess on everything or some dirty grease in the joints and things stay relatively clean.
