Default help with trouble shooting 4x4

I have a 95 4 door and my 4 wheel quit. At first it was just high range then i did the unhook battery and now i have no 4 wheel drive.

I read all the trouble shooting i can find... when i hit 4 wheel it flashes then goes back to 2 wheel. The tccm is clicking so I assume it is working. I have check connections they all seem to be tight. I have the 16 pin code reader and I grounded pin 13 and it gives me no trouble codes, am i to assume since the switch work and the tccm clicking that the encoder motor is bad? that would be the next step in going into 4 wheel drive so it makes since that it is what is causing the problem.

Also sometimes i ride down the road and the 4 wheel light comes on all by it's self but it is not in 4 wheel and then it goes back to normal showing 2 wheel.

When I drive around and try to engage 4x4 it will get to the point where the 3 wheel lights wont light up anymore or both at one time. I can stop and put it in neutral and it will try to engage again and if i take out the 20 amp accessory fuse then it will go back to normal trying to engage.

Also my clicking is coming from behind the radio area which is where I am told the tccm is but there is another electronic box that I dont know what is behind the right kick panel but i can unplug it with no affect on the 4 wheel drive.

any help is appreciated

Jamie
