Default Intermediate shaft

Help...I'm looking for a replacement shaft from the gearbox to the steering column. I'm having a tough time...I found one on ebay, but it's used and I suspect it will have the same worn joint I already have!!!

I need suggestions on a source online. I've checked the usual suspects: autozone, oreilly's and rock auto.

Any help would be GREAT!

You'll probably have to go OEM. Go to your local dealership.

Default Stealers...yikes!

I was trying to avoid the stealership if possible, but it might come to that soon.

blazinloud, you got me thinking...if the U-joint solution will work on the gearbox end- what about the column end? Anyone have thoughts on this...??? I don't want to do anything dangerous, but why wouldn't that work too?

Thanks in advance!

See the link below on how I replaced my intermediate shaft with one from a Jeep Cherokee.
I did purchase a shaft from GM and the rubber for upper tulip joint eventually cracked and the grease was leaking out. The shaft is over $200 from the dealership which I purchased and a few last year I was looking to replace it again. I have had the Jeep Cherokee shaft since last year and I could not be happier and I do not think I would ever have to replace it again. You could also check rock auto to see if they carry the shaft if you still want OEM.
