Well i have a 84 pickupo, same frame and the k5. I got a rough country lift for like $350 w/ new front springs. I wouldnt do blocks in the front if you are on a trail you might get some bad axle wrap. And i only have a 4" and have 35s with a lil room for a bigger tire. the lift i bought can with shocks which is a plus

Yeah blocks in the front are bad news. My brother runs 4in springs in the front, shackle flip in the rear and36s.

I installed new front and rear springs (B&D) for a 6" lift, front and rear. I haven't had any problems with driveline angles.
