hey everyone i have updates. the problem's actually in the joint between the upper shaft and the intermediate shaft. coming down from the wheel the shaft is solid all the way through the firewall until i get past that joint. its pretty obvious once i felt it. i was wondering how do i go about getting that rubber boot off so i can get i better look at what i'm gonna have to do? am i gonna have to buy a new shaft? a bolt? can i put some shims in there?

in summary, what goes-inta that joint doesn't move and what comes-outta does move

ive never herd anyone have any luck with that drag adjuster it usually just tightens the gearing? if at a stand still get someone to turn the wheel back and forth about 3 inches and you put your hand at the bottom of the pitman arm feel for drag/slop/clunking. i just did the whole thing pump, box, damper, (pitman while it was off) 2 tie rods and a water pump due to spotting a leak at the weeping hole wile underneath. 2 weeks before that a reman alt and 2 pullies. all within 106000km zr2 is a bitch for steering work.
