I am looking at buying some replacement shocks for my blazer. Anybody have any ideas on where to buy them online?

OK yea shockwarehouse looks awsome now another thing also has anyone on the board ever changed there shocks before themselves? And if yes how long does it take to do it i am curious because i want to learn to do it myself as a project in some sense!

 

I would recommend Bilstein shocks. GM used them from the factory on my truck. With 285,000km they still work great!

 

as of right now there are 8245 members, i think out of everybody and all of their experiences someone has done every possible thing to these trucks.

i took me a few hours to do all 4. the rear shocks are MUCH easier. unbolt the old, bolt in the new. if you jack up the rear and let the leafs puch the axle down it will be a little easier, and you wont have to compress the shock, i cut the strap holding the shock down after i took it out of the box, BIG NO.DO NOTcut the strap until the shock is in place. after my dad came out to help me, he just laughed at me for cutting the strap.

the fronts are a little more difficult, jack it up and takes the wheels off for better access. its harder to wiggle the shocks in and out, if you have 4wd the axle is just another thing in the way you gotta work around

 

Shocks are basically an unbolt, bolt back in replacement. There are a few tricks as otnietdehoooo mentioned already with the packaging strap. For the fronts, I recommend installing the top mounting bolt and then cutting the strap to get the bottom bolt in. Even then, it can be fun. The rear is straight forward.

I used Monroe Reflex shocks up front on my Bravada and used Monroe Sensa-trak with load assist on the back for extra carrying capacity for my tools, etc. The back rode a bit more stiff than previously, but the ride was MUCH improved over the stock, worn out bilsteins.

yea depends on the ride your looking for i got bilstiens on mine not the factory ones different ones cause i wanted a softer ride and there pretty sweet
