Default Rear End: Leaf Springs or Blocks?

Hey all, I have an 89 K5 with a 2 in lift on right now (leafs up front and 2in blocks in the rear). I also have a 4in lift in my garage (same as what is on already just 4inches). My main question is, is there a huge difference between blocks in the rear or new leaf springs? When it comes to off-roading (nothing major but I do like to test the limits occasionally both mud and rocks), would having the 4in blocks in the rear be fine or should I invest in springs? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thank you,

almost everyone i know swears by springs. i ran a 6inch lift on my trucks for years, which consisted of a 4inch block in the back and never had any problems. if youre gonna be doing hardcore offroading like bouncing up rock ledges and slamming the truck like crazy might be safer to go springs so you dont spit the blocks out. also usually if you run blocks your basically keep your stock ride in the back, arched springs seem to ride stiffer
