Default Removing stock steering wheel airbag

Sup guys,

I got a grant steering wheel im trying to put on but im having 0 luck finding any info on how to remove the airbag assembly..

from what i could tell from other peoples projects it should just be 2 torx screws holding it on..

they are off and its still firmly attached..

i also read that our horns wont work with grant steering wheels?

Sigh, i miss my 89 s10 blazer..

everything was so easy hehe..

thanks for any help!

edit: short on cash right now but after pay day i will be gettng the Haynes manual.

edit: reading this now. https://blazerforum.com/forum/2nd-ge...-airbag-16025/

i read this 10 times. i guess im doing something wrong but i dunno..

1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position in order to unlock the steering wheel.
2. Turn the steering wheel 90 degrees from the straight-ahead position in order to gain access to the access holes behind the steering wheel.
3. Insert a screwdriver into each access hole and push the leaf spring to release the pin that retains the inflator module.
4. Turn the steering wheel 180 degrees in order to gain access to the remaining access holes.
5. Insert a screwdriver into each access holes and push the leaf spring to release the pin that retains the inflator module.
6. Tilt the top of the inflator module rearward to gain access to the SIR wiring.
7. Disconnect the SIR lead wire from the clip on the inflator module.
8. Disconnect the SIR lead wire from the clip on the steering wheel.
9. Disconnect the Connector Position Assurance (CPA) retainer.
10. Disconnect the electrical connector. CAUTION: Refer to Inflator Module Handling Caution in Service Precautions.
11. Remove the inflator module from the vehicle.

its to dark and i give up for the night..

kinda second guessing even doing this since im reading the horn wont be able to function...

i cant stand when things are half assed..

Man, I spent 2 hours in the heat today removing a steering wheel from the wreckers. I thought it was gonna be easy :S Now that I've done it, I could do it in 10 minutes. Did you ever have any luck with yours?
