Default Replacing Leaf Spring

Hey all! My passenger side main leaf is warn and sagging. Been quoted some Rediculous prices around town here and have been told to only replace both sides at the same time. I have however located a used leaf spring but only one. Provided it is the same type as the ones that came factory, is it okay to replace just the faulty side and not both?

Secondly, the used spring I have located is a 'smooth ride' type. I am having trouble finding out if that is what came with my blazer as opposed to 'off road' type etc etc. the dealership here can only tell me that my blazer has 'touring suspension'. Can someone tell me what type comes with a 2001 LT four door?

Thanks!

you can replace just one. problem is the truck may lean if you put one brand new leaf spring and have one old one under the truck but yeah you can do it. do that and if it doesnt lean or sit funny then roll with it.

leaf springs are generally a pain in the butt. unless the vehicle is from the south or only a few years old they never come out. the shackle bolts get stuck in the, the u bolts you have to cut off and have new ones made.

Thanks! The replacement I found is a used one from the same year blazer. Still trying to figure out if my 01 LT came with 'smooth ride' type from the factory. Anyone know how to find out?

Tried that NewGuy, it listed my blazer as having the "touring package", nothing more specific than that unfortunately ... anyone know if the touring package included "smooth ride" leaf springs?
