And that flat washer size ring isn't there... I'm wondering if it makes a difference.

I did get it installed. Pretty easy but frustrating when dealing with bad directions and even worse technical support. I'll be taking it on about 70 round trip this weekend (towing my boat) so I'll get to see if I can tell it is there or not under normal conditions. Just around the block, I think the steering is a little less light but more deliberate feeling now.
