Default stuff hanging from the front end

i just got a call from my dad (he is currently driving the blazer) telling me that he noticed a bar in the front hanging down. i will be able to asses it better this evening when he gets home. #1 should he drive it home?( is it safe) #2what could it be? i am thinking it is the sway bar bushing that have just given out from being dry rotted. thanks for the help. what else should i replace while i am at? i have noticed the rear end is sagging like old people. and the truck leans to the right. i didn't expect much from a 190,000 mile Chevy. i guess no more

Very well might be the sway bar. As long as it is not dragging on the road and your dad drives safely, he should make it back okay. Rear end sag is probably indicative of worn springs.

i have no doubt that my dad will drive safe. i just don't want to tell him to drive it if it is going to hurt anything on the truck further then it is. (or have something come loose when he is turning and have him crash into a tree). especially when we have free towing. what would we need to buy or do to fix the sway bar. assuming that's what it is.

If it is just the sway bar seperated you most likely just need end links should be like $20 for the pair of moogs.

go ta set of moogs and threw em on. it was a little challenging trying to fit them when i had nothing to look at for example. but i managed to get them on and the truck is back up and running. i have only driven it like 5 times. my dad is still making sure its safe i guess. it will take a act of nature to get him out of that truck. but i will have it for winter one way or the other.
