Default Suspension Questions..

I changed my brakes today and when putting the tire back on (on the drivers side) i noticed i have some play laterally... theres Zero play vertically....
Also on sunday i noticed that theres a poping noise when turning sharply left.... but if i really ease into a turn theres no popping.. also lately theres been rattling when hitting bumps... are these all related??.... the suspension all appears to be stock..... so if it is im shocked it made it this far..lol
also there isnt any play on the pass side....

Take a close look at the tie rod on the driver's side.

I greased all the fittings icould see a few weeks back and it looked ok but didnt play around wih it really... The outer apeared to be fine... Didnt see and tears or anything in the boot for the inner... No fluid leaking...

Sorry if im asking noob questions... These are things i should know but honestly ive forgotten ALOT i used to know in the past... I guess thats what i get for being a partying teenager...lol

But whats the ways to tell if its bad? Againt sorry i never had to deal with tierods or Much suspension at all outside of replacing a few balljoints... On my mustang he inner went out and at that time someone jut came by and offered a few grand for it and i said SOLD...lol cua i didnt have time to deal wih it.... Now im working and i can afford a babysitter and im off on the weekends... So time is definitally available to me now....

Find some usable person and put them in the driver's seat while you position yourself underneath the front of your vehicle. Specifically in the immediate area of the inner and outer tie rods on the driver's side so that you can observe them. Have them turn the wheel, preferrably without the engine running and look for play in either of the joints.

Odds are from your description above, you will see movement when said usable person turns the steering wheel in the pitman arm but see a "pause" in one or both of the tie rod ends.
