Default t-case not engaging..

I think I messed up my transfer case. I must of been going too fast in 4lo, or, tried switching to a different drive when moving. The problem is my 4 wheel drive does not engage when in park, drive or anything else but nuetral, if it engages. When I put it in nuetral and press either the 4lo or 4hi button, both the 4lo and 4hi lights blink 3 times, and they either both come on, which gives the truck some weird power, the opposite drive engages from the button I actually pushed, the correct one comes on which is good.... or nothing comes on at all lol. But most of the time when switching from 2w to 4w drive theres a bad noise in my transer case, thumping most of the time, hearda really bad cling which kinda scared me.Something must be wrong with it, obviously lol.
And another thing. Sometimes when pushing down on the throttle I hear a thumping noise which sounds like worn u-joints, but can this sounds be comming from the transfer case as well. This happens in 2wd, never heard it in 4wd, and when I heard it it was at a slow speed (10 - 20mph).
Instead of making anoher post i have another question about the ABS. The light recently came on for them on the dash, and Im wondering what I should look forso I can fix this problem myself.
This truck has new problems with it everyday, it might be me, idk....

Some vehicle info would be great. If you put your vehicle info into your signature it will show up on every post you make, then we don't have to try and guess what your year, model and options are.
Thanks.
