Yes have been putting on brand new front suspension and steering parts and having problems with passenger inner tie rod seized or welded on to steering linkage. Have tried everything to seperate the tie rod to no avail, was wondering if it is threaded or is it just seized. Would love to have some feed back on this cause right now in going to have to drill it out just to put the new one in. I know it's just supposed to just slide out.

 

The inner tie rod ends are the same type of link as the outer. tapered bolt with a castle nut. Unless there's obvious evidence that some psycho welded it on, it's probably seized. They can definitely seize in there though if they haven't been changed in a long while. There are specific tools for pulling tie rod ends that I've found quite effective, and are not very expensive. Harbor Freight (US) or Princess Auto (Canada) is a good option to find them cheap. Get the puller tool on there with good pressure on the bolt, and then smack the side of the center link with a hammer to shock it. Often that will break it loose.

 

Yes we'll tge only thing I found was to grind off the rest of the tie rod and now drilling it out, what a pain hopefully I'll be done with it soon that metal ain't no joke. Have been breaking bits all morning. Gonna keep at can't wait for a tool and don't have no way to get to town
