Wheel bearings

I guess this could be categorized here:
My front right Wheel bearing is dieing on me, making a groaning sound
when I turn slightly right at high speeds on a back road or the interstate.
I have never done this fix before and was wondering if anyone here has?
Its a 4x4, and should I go ahead and replace both or does it really matter?
Is it something really difficult to replace?
Do I need some sort of pulling device?
Thanks for any answers.

If it does it when you turn right, then it is the left wheel bearing. No sense in replacing both of them. Wait until the right bearing goes and replace it then.
If you have the proper tools, it is not all that difficult to replace. And no pulling device should be required, but sometimes the driveshaft spline can get stuck in the wheel bearing assembly, making for some difficulty removing it.
Check the DIY section. There is a pretty good write up in there: 4wd Hub/Bearing Assembly Replacement
*Moving to Steering, Suspension, & Drivetrain*
As this has nothing to do with Engine & Transmission... More like Steering, Suspension, & Drivetrain or the 2nd Gen Tech section if the year in your profile is your truck. You should put your vehicle information in your signature and attach it to any posts requesting tech help.

Thanks swartllk for the info, Forgive me for for posting in the wrong spot for
I am still getting used to the site.
So you say its its the LF wheel bearing, but the sound comes from the RF and
the fellow at the alignment shop said it was the the RF.
I was thinking about getting them both done and he told me it would cost about
$450.00 for it. That and she still has that oil leak, It seems like every time I get
something paid off it wants to give trouble. Ill do it myself if I can, I'm pretty good
with fixing things. Thanks for the advise

I was going off of your description of when the noise occurs. A noise that occurs when you turn right most typically is a result of the weight transfer putting more load on the left wheel. If you and your alignment guy say it is the right, then it must be. After all, I only have your description to go on for diagnosis.
To further check to make sure that you are replacing the proper wheel bearing assembly, with the vehicle up on jack stands, feel for play in the bearing by pressing in at the top of the tire and out on the bottom.

Yea thats right, I understand what you meant.
I don't see where I would have any problems doing this at all, tomorrow
I will go buy the bearings and hubs and get to it hopefully by next weekend.

I finally did the hub/bearing switch, the right front was the bad one and it came off just fine without any complications, the left front however I cant say the same for.
The father in law and myself worked and worked to get it off but it was ceased on the axle through time.
I had to purchase a hub puller to get it off, and at the very end we stripped the threads on the puller, $21.00 but at least it did its job.
Here is a link to the hub/bearing I used:http://www.oreillyauto.com/EW3/ProductDetail.do?id=1914018362&line=BCA&it emNumber=513124&manualReplCategoryIndex=52& ;vehicle=2000CHEVROLETBLAZER%20(S10%20SERIES)V6-262%20%204.3L&bid=1232856691879&cycleCount =2426&currentPage=0
