Default Wheel hub bearing assembly Q

Hey all,

I have a quick wheel hub assembly question. I need to replace both of my front hub assemblies and found a few guys running dearborn on here. I found one of there hub assemblies on eBay, but the darn thing says it won't fit my vehicle and I'd like to know why. I have a 1996 Chevy Blazer LS 4x4 and need to replace the FRONT wheel bearing hub assemblies (both of em)

Thanks in advance!

On the 95, 96, and early 97 trucks, the front abs speed sensor is built into the brake shield, not the hub. Those hubs are for the late-97+ trucks and there are differences. Another member noted the differences in a thread around here somewhere.

Ok, thanks for pointing that out Kyle. I had no idea on that difference. I guess no dearborn axle parts for me then. I can't seem to find any for 95-97. Well this is sad news...

Just a quick question in regards to the 1st and 2nd front abs speed sensor designs, I have the 1st design on my 97 blazer 4x4 with the sensor in the backing plate and the speed ring on the hub, can I change over to the 2nd design by changing the backing plate and wheel hub? Are the speed sensor conectors the same or would i have to splice in a different conector to get it to work if at all? wondering because it seems to be easier to find the more common 2nd design then the 1st design thats all

Thank you in advance

EDIT: please disregard found the answer I was looking for farther down in the search just didn't see it on first look Thanks anyway tho
