Will changing transfer case fluid cause it to start slipping ?
03 ls 4dr 4x4. 183.000km. 4 button with (auto,2high,4 high,4 low) I have the blue auto trak 2 fluid to fill it with. I have no idea when it has been serviced will changing the fluid cause it to slip due to the clutches being worn and using new fluid not giving enough grab ? Thanks for the help

I changed my 4-button transfer case fluid at about the same mileage and age on my 99 as you are thinking to do on yours. I had no problems.
You already identified what I learned to be the most important point, use the correct fluid! The 3-button cases use a different fluid.
These 4-button transfer cases do have clutches in them for the Auto-4wd system within them. However, and this is only my best guess, I doubt they are exposed to the same sort of severe conditions our transmissions undergo that lead to those clutches to work even if they are worn with them failing when new fluid clears the system that then allows the clutches to slip due to reduced friction on their surfaces.

I'll go out on a limb here so take this with a grain of salt. There's a seal between the transmission and transfer case. If this goes bad it allows trans fluid to enter the transfer case and drop in the trans. That could allow the trans to start slipping if it were to be drained out of the transfer case since it would act like a reservoir. I think you'd notice it if there was an inordinate amount of fluid though when you drain it. It's pretty common for those seals to fail. Just an idea.
