Default 8-second V6 S10 (naturally aspirated)

This is cool! 8.995 sec 1/4 mile with a naturally aspirated V6 in a S10. Be sure to watch the video.

S10 V6 naturally aspirated engine goes 8.995 sec 1.191 60 - The Hangout - S10Racer

It's pretty unusual sounding! I'm betting he is running nitrous, even though it isn't mentioned. It takes around 670hp at the rear wheels to push a 2500# vehicle to 8.995. I just don't see any other way to get that kind of power from a little V6.

I went back and read through old posts about it. Seems like you take a big bore aluminum block odd-fire V6 in a truck that weighs 2500#, sky high compression, alcohol, shift at 9600 and go through the lights at 10,000 RPM. NO NITROUS OR TURBOS REQUIRED! That's impressive I think!
