Default 1.5" t-bar and 2" shackles

Ok i just bought 2" shackles online and will be here in a few days
Now do shackles make the ride rougher at all and how much rougher will a 1.5" t-bar lift be?

Shackles do not effect the ride, but the tbar crank will. I loved the stiffer ride after the lift though. The only bad thing is that the shocks will top out easier. I only notice it on speed bumps though. Take a speed bump too fast, and you get an almightly clunk with a hard drop on your nose...you get used to it though

Not sure on a DIY for a 3'-er on a 1st gen..

Id say its personal preference...I dont feel the need to get new shocks as it does not cause me enough problems..but you might. Butttttt if you do, longer shocks will fix the problem. 2' lift shocks would be ideal

I did it myself! Its not too hard at all...just alot of checking, test fitting, checking again, and repeating steps

But I did check with 4 Wheel Parts...they have a book with cost/times involved...for a 2' body lift on a S10 blazer 95+ its $500 for labor. Not sure how much different it would be for a 1st gen though!
