You may be able to grind down the caliper a bit. Heard of other people doing this

Thats why I suggested 16 or 17 in wheels!

Yeah I was thinking about it, I'd have to take a look. I was also thinking about just buying four 1/4th inch aluminum spacer + hub centric rings and just leave it at that. I will let you guys know how everything goes when it's all said and done.

The OP had to do with tires though, not wheels. The problem I'm coming into is the less offset anyway.

The only way I can imagine hub center spacers with 1/4 thickness would be if the wheel had a bigger hole than the hub. Are they?

Edit: I would stay away from removing material from the brake caliper. Bigger rolling stock needs an increase in brake torque not less.
