Default Tire size

What is the biggest tire you can put on a 98 blazer 4dr with 17x7.5 inch rims with out rubbing. I currently have 275 70 17's on there and they rub everytime i turn and it annoys the **** out of me. What could i do tostop the rubbing?

General concensus is a 30" tall tire is as large as you can go stock without rub issues.

Your 275/70R17 tire is 32.2" outside diameter. You really want to have something in the 255/65R15 range or if you want to stay that wide, 275/60R17.
