Default What backspacing?

HEy everyone,

Looking to get a nice wheel and tire package on my 97 2dr 4x4. I have settled on 265/70-15 General Grabber AT as they seem just as good as the BF Goodrichs plus the price and warranty is awesome! I'm getting a 2 inch body lift and plan on shackles in the rear and torsion bar in the future but only body for now. Now what backspacing should I be looking at for this setup? I have searched on here and it seems that the concensous is 4.5" of backspacing but unfortunatley every wheel I like doesn't have that. So far every wheel I've liked only has BSing up to 3 5/8. I don't think this is enough and my wheels will stick out to far correct? Plus the strain on everything. And I really don't want steel wheels. If I'm going to do it I'm going to get the alloy wheels because here in PA the salt will just kill the steel in the winter. So any help here would be appreciated. Thanks

If you're going with 2' BL and shackles, you might just wanna go up to 31x10.50s. Although I do like the 265/70s

4.5' of backspacing is what I've got with 265/70s, it does give a wider stance, which I like, but I still don't think 3 5/8 would be too wide appearance wise...but as for wearing components, it probably is a bad choice...

Well like I said though...I don't really want steel wheels. I was hoping to get some nice alloys but the backspacing isnt correct

Then find a set of alloys with the right backspacing....

There's millions of rims out there!
