Hey all, resurrecting an old thread here. I just want some clarification to make sure I get this right.

What spacing will I need to align the front and rear with the part of the wheel well that sticks out the farthest?

I have an 00 Jimmy with stock rims.

Thanks so much in advance!

It kind of depends on your tires. Best thing is to just use a tape measure and see how far you need to go.

To match the rear axle track width with the front, most people use 1.25" or 1.5" spacers. This will get you very close to the exact same track width front and rear.

I used 1 1/2 inch on each side on my 2002 and my 1996, the rear now track right in line with the front on both.

I've had 1.5" spacers on the rear for 6 years with 31.5 x 10 x 15 tires. Rear wheels are inline with front and never any issues.

Mine have now been on for 2 1/2 years without any problems as well. They drive so much better with the spacers!

Default Hubcentric spacer not fitting on front

I bought some hubcentric spacers for the front and rear of my blazer. The rear went on perfectly but the front doesn't fit due to the tapered hub. Any recommendations for hubcentric spacers that will fit on the front? Id much rather know they're going to fit before I buy them this time 🤦🏻‍♂️ 96 blazer 2 door rwd if that matters.

Many people say wheels spacers are unsafe, but it is safe if you buy a quality hub-centric wheel spacer with good wheel studs on it.

There is a big difference just from looking at a cheap Chinese $50 spacer, and a $120+ wheel spacer.

The main difference between these two are the studs! Cheap spacers come with shinny chrome looking studs, which are not the proper grade studs. You need to buy a spacer with a stud that is rated grade 12.9 or higher. Cheap spacers come with grade 10 studs which should be illegal.

If you decide to buy cheap spacers, always take out the shinny chrome looking studs that come with it, and replace it with ARP or OEM grade replacement studs if you can.

or buy a reputable spacer from Bora, or Spidertrax, that comes with good studs on it already.

whenever you see people posting pictures of their wheels coming off after installing spacers, you always see that the studs that came with their cheap spacer snaps, not the actual spacers that are on your hubs.
