that is strange. those tires are only 3/4" (aprox.) larger than the 31x10.5's i was running.

guess it falls into the same catagory as why people prefer Coke over Pepsi.

My 1st gen wouldn't have fit 31's without a lift. This was my 88 with a 3 inch lift and 31x10.5 MT's. They were mounted on 94 Blazer wheels. And they still rubbed a little, but I did a lot of fun stuff. It was just my first little toy.
