05`fuel gauge help?

05`fuel gauge help?
The fuel gauge in my old lady`s ride(05`Trailblazer Ls)was reading: about a 1/4 tank past full when full. In response I changed the in tank fuel sensor/float. Now the gauge reads 3/4 tank full when full. Any ideas on how to fix the other 3/4`s of this problem? Is there a faulty relay on this thing or what?
