Default WEIRD turn signal stuff on 2008 TB

OK....so my right turn signal was flashing fast. But it would still work sometimes. Went and looked and the right rear was doing all sorts of weird things. If I hit the brake with the turn signal on, the brake light and reverse light flashed, but not the actual turn signal.I decided to look into the circuit board. Pulled it out and saw that there was rust/corrosion at the turn signal bulb. Got a new circuit board, and pulled the old one off the harness. At this point, I saw that the wiring harness prongs were ALSO corroded and had broken off in the old circuit board....so then I bought a new harness. NOW, we have a new harness, new circuit board, new bulb....and still the turn signal light does not come on)but it is no longer doing any of the other weird flashing). I checked the fuse and the fuse is fine. Is there anything I am missing here? Maybe the flasher?

I'm not familiar with the 2008.

In general such light issues are due to shorts/ground problems in the lamps themselves. That has been sorted out. The questions I have would be:
Where does the ground come from?
Is it in the harness or should the board connect to the body?

My guess and first try would be to take a wire and make a temporary ground to the body from the board. (By board I intend the metal brackets for the bulbs themselves in the rear lamp housing.)

Ground is in the harness because there is nothing connecting the board to anything but the harness. Wondering if perhaps there is a wire broken somewhere inside the body panel because everything from the body panel out to the bulb is new.

That is normally correct.

To find out it should work if you ground the body of the lamp assembly or measure the wires for continuity.
