just ordered a brand new xtreme front lip for the kit. Will be ordering ball joints and tie rods in a bit. Got new in box front shocks a while back that will be getting put on, so will have to get rears as well. Got some pieces to re do the rear wheel wells, and will need to do the rockers again, might try welding new pieces on, it'll be covered by the xtreme kit anyways.
Got something done on the sonoma. Drivers side is done. Still want to get tie roads, and thinking about pitman and idler arms...
Xtreme front lip should be arriving next week, so going to start looking into removing rust and adding patches. Welding will be beginners practice, so happy that the skirts and flares will cover the ugliness lol.
It arrived!!! Almost tempted to leave work lol. But can't.
Also noticed that my ujoints aren't as complicated as I was lead to believe, and can do them myself. As its not the one with a ball... but in the end I have to change 1 of 4 ujoints on the sonoma. Might just do all 4 as they are stock.
So after some trimming of the fog light pods, and a lot of fighting with bolts holding the stock lip I had on.... a test fit is done, and lots of work to do.
Going to have to remove the steel bumper from the truck, will sand and paint while I'm at it, and then screw the new lip on, while using a heat gun to curv it to shape. You can kinda tell what I mean by the pic.
Stock Ebay xtreme lip Can anyone tell what im going to run into next? Hint: it has to do with the fog light holes/air scoops lol
I'm going to half to weld some metal onto the fram for the brush guard, and cut the holes out of the bumper. They will end up in the middle of the gap between the liscense plate and fog lights. Not a big fan of all the cutting, but going to take my time and make it look good... hopefully...
Got the roof rack off the blazer, and placed on the cap for pics. Need washer and to drill holes, add silicone, and use original hardware. Almost as easy as mounting it on the blazer lol.
