TBI or CPI?

RE: Fuel pressure
I believe it is in the 8-10psi range. You will need an adapter to be able to test the fuel pressure at the TBI unit.

RE: Fuel pressure
ok them i was wrong it is the one with a main injector in the center of the intake

RE: Fuel pressure
Ok, for the CPI engine (the one with the plastic cover with the word "VORTEC" molded into it), the pressure should be 52-60psi for proper operation of the pressure actuated poppet nozzles. The fuel pressure test port is located off the back of the intake near the brake booster.

RE: Fuel pressure
so on crank ist should be 52 on crank or with key on engine off

RE: Fuel pressure
It should be at least 52 psi. It should never fall below 52psi which is near the minimum pressure required to open the poppet nozzles.
