Default 1993 4.3 vortec Vin "W" question

I have a 1993 blazer w. a vortec 4.3 W motor and from the searches i've done on here for it it sounds like the Spider is acting up so when I take off the plentium if the passenger side is washed an the drivers side is carboned up what does that mean? or if the drivers side is washed an the passenger side is carboned what does that mean?

Thanks alot!

Passenger side wash would mean that the FPR is most likely leaking. Driver side wash would mean that the lines are most likely leaking.

What swart said - go to AutoZone or O'Reilly's (whichever you have) and get the Dorman/HELP! fuel pressure regulator for about $45. It'll come with the Torx security bit you'll need to replace it. Also get the upper intake plenum gasket.

Make sure you have a deep 10mm socket and a Torx T-30 bit. You'll need the T-30 to get the Vortec cover off the plenum and the 10mm deep to get the (10, 11 - something like that) nuts off to remove the plenum.

There is a how-to for the CPI here somewhere...

okay so on the same vehicle different question... All of the rest has been replaced

Fuel Pump
Sending unit
Fuel filter
FPR
"nut kit"
and plugs cap rotor wires

Now there is no fuel pressure for it to run it sounds like its trying to but wont run any ideas on what to try next?

When you replaced the fuel pump, did you check the wiring harness?

And when you had the plenum off, did you check the wiring harness to the spider?

Both of those are trouble points.

Also, are you sure it is now a fuel issue and not a spark issue?
