WOW, now that is a white blazer. White bumpers, wheels everything. Never saw one like that. Very cool find!

Oil gasket shouldn't be bad at all to replace. You have any plans for customizing it? Or you leaving it mostly stock?

Im tackling my squeaky suspension soon too. Im slowly gathering a parts pile till I have everything, then Ill do the whole thing in one weekend.

ball joints, steering linkage, new Tbars and crank em, shocks, sway bar bushings, control arm bushings and endlinks. That should quieten it down. then Ill do the same on the back and replace everything and new springs.

Nice truck man. Thats a good find.

I have the black intake runners too. I just saw a Bravada same year as mine, but it had the silver unpainted runners? Anyone know why? What is the significance of the black tubes?

Look at the picture of your motor. See the black intake? I have them too. Most s10's have unpainted raw aluminum tubes like these.

But ours are black and I'm trying to find out why.

Update!!!

So I have Been rust hunting and Im trying to get rid of it while learning in the process.
Fist I noticed the passenger front door did have any molding and because of that water was getting in and rusting out the bottom. Luckily I caught this early and I went to the pick and pull for a new (ish) molding.

Now about that door rust. It was quite a bit of rust developing under the paint but the metal was still solid.... My solution? WIRE BRUSH. I got most of it off using a power drill using the brush bit ( i don't own a angle grinder) and then I sprayed a rust converter to allow me to paint over the rust I couldent git rid of. Now normally i would use sand paper but the way the bottom of the door rusted it was to uneven for me to sand.
After I used the rust converter I sprayed bedliner on it to seal it up and hopefully slow the rusting down..

before

after

Now this was an experiment because I have no clue on how to deal wit rust that wont come off without cutting. And I got to test out a rust convetror. And the way I see it its under the door anyway...

Nowwwww On to the rear!
On the rear lower quarter panel. Right above the muffler there was hole about the size of my foot (i kicked it out of anger) that had rusted completly. I have a pal who knows how to weld and between me and him I think we did a decent job on cutting and welding and painting new metal.

Sorry only have the after for this one.

And To the mods can this thread get moved to the builds section? or should I start a new thread to post more progress?

Looks good on stopping that rust on your door, mine are way beyond that, I'm starting to flake and loose pieces from my door. The back section looks great I was wondering what I was looking at before I read your whole post.
