Default Headlight connection corrosion

I had to get a new headlight for my 93 jimmy, put the light in. it works, but the high beam doesnt. before the old headlight went out, the high on it worked, so Im pretty sure its corrosion and it just corroded while the other headlight was in keeping its connection. Is there a good way to clean these? I do not want to have to get a new connector.

Thread shouldn't be deleted, this is good advice for any one else having the same issue.

I am glad you got it working again, and for future reference dielectric grease on all electrical connections will assure that moisture stays out, and connections maintain there conductivity.

Yeah, I have in every socket where I am able to replace just the bulb, going to run to the part store now and get some for the headlight connectors.
Thanks again for the tip.

This is even more important if the connection was already corroded. The contacts are plated to protect them from the factory, but once that plating is gone, there is nothing to keep the copper contact from corroding. Using dielectric grease from here on out will protect the contact from here on out.
