Default help! moving soon broken blazer..:(

85 s10 blazer has new water pump, fuel pump, pcv, dist and rotor, and new ecm. the truck jumps and hesitates and bogs down when i put my foot down on the gas more than 1/4 the way. if my rpms go more than about 2.5 to 3k, it almost just dies and i have to let off the gas to keep it running. it seems ok below those rpms but the idle does go up and down on its own a little. id i put my foot down on the pettle some real fast it wants to go but only for a sec then it just bogs down if i dont let off the gas. i have messed with the timing..i set it about 9degrees btdc, i used a jumper wire to jumper the A and B terminals on the odb harness then set the timing and took the jumper out the timing instantly jumps to 20degrees btdc after i pull the jumper off..is that right? maybe my timing is way to adnaced cuz im doing somthing wrong..i dont kno these blazers to well...any help would be nice thank you!

I just replaced the throttle position sensor on an '89 S10. Different engine but nearly exactly the same scenario as you. Previous owner put a new fuel pump, new fuel filter, new injector in it and the night I bought it, it wouldn't make it up the hill. Continued to be a problem. Would only start with starting fluid so I thought for sure I had to replace the fuel pump that he just replaced. After I would get it running, it would sputter and nearly die if I asked it go any further than 1/4 throttle.

Replaced the TPS and not only does it start on its own, it hasn't bogged down or stalled out under load since.

well i did notice a wierd constant clicking in on the carburetor (not tbi yes carbureted) it comes from whatever the that harness hooks up to at the top on the carb i but its not the tps the tps is on the side 3 prong harness...see wat i dont get is i dont have to use starting fluid it starts right up and runs perfect till it heats up and i loose almost all power and can barley keep it running somtimes..but once its cool it once again runs fine. idk...02 sensor, tps, catilic converter thats all thats left really im about to just make one trip and replace it all....

that peice on the top of the carb that the 3 prong connector goes into is the mixture control solenoid.
