Default Roof rack max weight

This is probably the wrong place to ask but I have 12' boat and as the title says I was wondering if it would be to heavy. It weighs about 100 pounds

Mine has a sticker that says "Max load 200lbs evenly distributed". I'd say that your 100lb boat should be fine.

I have put my mother in law on the roof of the Jimmy for long trips to the cabin and it held the 600lbs just fine. (only kidding) 200lbs is what i have heard for these

^i almost woke the baby up laughing at that!!^ the rack will hold a good bit of weight but I would suggest running your tie down straps through the cab and around rather than trying to tie directly to the rack. The wind will rip it right off if you try and tie something like that to it. Or in my case a damn tree branch took it out!

Thanks I had thought of building some sort of platform or getting a couple extra cross bars from the wrecker but I don't think I will bother now .
