Default Rough Starting

Searched around the forum and didn't find anything of any help.

I have a 1994 S-10 Blazer 4.3. After it sits over night its hard to start, and its strange because some mornings it takes one or two trys, and other it takes for ever. But once it does start it runs perfectly fine and will start with out a problem for the next 6-12 hours.

When cranking it normally it will act like it wants to start and then like it has no spark, and will keep doing that, till it finally starts.

I was kinda thinking it might be a computer is going nuts, because I've also had a problem lately that when on the highway the speedometer will drop to around 40-60 and then the tranny will kick down when it doesn't need too, and acts like it doesn't know what gear to go into.

Anyone have any suggestions? Sorry about the post I know the grammar sucks, and its all jumbled up. But I'm at work and in a hurry.

Thanks,
Shaun

Found my problem, kinda. If you take and power the pump manually and build pressure, it will start perfectly fine, even though it automatically does it, it doesn't run long enough, I'm guessing my problem is my system is leaking down pressure, which would make since. It will start on a hot day easier than on a cool day or after its rained, or since it cools off at night, since the fuel builds pressure in the heat. That's my thought, since it is a pressurized system.

Not sure the tranny shifting still, I'm thinking it might be the VSS.
