The switch and the button on the end of the turn signal arm are for the cruise control.
Push towards the column on the switch accelerate while cruise is engaged or to resume the previously selected speed if you have hit your brakes, thereby disengaging (but not turning off) cruise. This position is momentary and the switch should return to the middle position.
Pull away from the column to turn off cruise control. This position should stick.
Push in on the button on the end to set the speed for cruise or to coast to a new slower speed setting (slider switch needs to be in the middle position).
