Default vortec 4.3 knock sensor location VIN W

I've got a '92 jimmy that's throwing a code 43, but I can't even find the second knock sensor to test it.

The one I found is the one in the passenger side cylinder head, which seems to be OK. I've read that the other one is supposed to be in the vicinity of the distributor cap (some say below, some say to the right of,) but no amount of poking around there has lead me to find it.

They say a picture is worth 1000 words, can someone post a pic of where it's supposed to be, so I can (hopefully) stop bloodying up my hands with this thing and move on the the next job?

I wouldn't be surprised if the previous owner pulled it for some reason and just threaded a bolt in where it was supposed to go... he was that way.

The image below shows the location of the rear knock sensor on the 96+ SCFI engines:

Your second sensor could be in that location.

Also, my references show the possibility of it being located in the back of the cylinder head... It is a bit unclear. But that should get you closer.
