I really need to make sure its the fuel pump before switching it out, we could really use the money.

the car runs fine until its heated up.
The car will die no matter the load, it will die while idling.
last time I checked when the car wouldnt turn over, starter fluid would start it.

I replaced the fuel filter and when the car dies I can still hear the fuel pump, do fuel pumps slowly die or act like this?

remember testing costs little or nothing
throwing parts at a problem, will make you spend your beer money

I'll say it again...
Bottom line:.. you are going to have to buy or borrow a Fuel Pressure gauge.. no bones about it.
Find a WAY!!!

Unlike some on here.. I posit that troubleshooting is NOT free.. but it's cheaper in the long run than throwing parts money at it.
It does sound like the fuel pump but no one on here is gonna tell you to spend that money.

W.... T ... F!!!!

That's exactly WHY we want you to rule it out if possible. Find someone who will loan you a Fuel Pressure gauge.

What OTHER details? You ended the subject line in '?'.. which means those details belong here. Unless it's about a lift kit or something.
I know.. maybe you could make a thread with a Poll. That's how the guvmint solves their problems.

I was ABOUT to link a certain video but I guess I'll hold off a little..
