What about the ones that are yellow with the gray top? I heard marine batteries can take a much deeper discharge or something like that.

I plan to get 1/0 wire on the 1) alternator positive to battery positive, 2) battery negative to chassis, and 3) engine ground to chassis.

 

Marine batteries are meant to be discharged, but the high load and then rapid recharge is not necessarily what they are made for.

 

Hmm...well car audio enthusiasts sure love them for some reason.
