Default 2000 Blazer Rear Rotor Removal

How do you remove the rear rotors from this 2000 Blazer?? I have tried a few times with no success at all. I have even used mallets, hammers and wood blocks, etc. What is holding them on. Is the E-brake holding them on?

Thanks
Joe

if you have the e-brake, caliper, and caliper off there should be nothing holding them back. i just got done doing my front rotors a few eeks ago and if took me 2days to get get both rotors off due to the rust. i know in the front there are little retaining type clips so if the rear has these remove those also and grab your BFH and whack away at the rotor thats what i had to resort to and finally the rotors starting coming off inch by inch. you can try spraying some PB blaster where the rotor meets the hub to try and break some of the rust loose.

Liquid wrench in between the axle and rotor, a hammer and persistence idi the trick.

The ebrake shoes inside of the rotor can make there own grove in the rotor.

Try backing the e-brakes off manually using the screw valve adjuster thingamajig. Sorry, I can't think of its actual name at the moment.

That would work if there was access to said adjuster. On these trucks though, there is not.

Really? On a 2000 blazer? I wouldn't have thought they were that different from the 04. Damn.
