i have a '99 blazer with 44k miles on it and when i was doing a little wheeling the other weekend and the 4 wheel low made a clunk when i engaged it and then it was very jerky when i was climbing. i would appriciate any help. thanks.

the clunk is normal...as far as the jerkieness....it is a little jerky when you step on the accelerator..it's cause of the gear ratio...one of the other guys on here could probably explain why....but it sounds like your truck is just fine...for 4 low

What you have described sounds fairly normal. Just remember that whem you engage 4L that you should be stopped or travelling less than 5 mph.

Question: Sometimes when I start my blazer it goes into 4x4 LO. Then it's a pain in the A** to get it to go back into 2wd HI. Does anybody have any ideas as to why this could be happening sometimes. I'm not sure if my 4x4 HI is working. Is there anything I can check or do to see why this is happening?

I'm NOTusing 4wd LO. When I start the truck it goes into 4wd LO. How can this problem be fixed if I do have something wrong with the truck Is there a way I can see if my 4wd Hi is working correctly
