Default 95 4.3 vortec

What year engine of the 4.3 is better the old cpi aluminium plenum 95 model or the later model 4.3 with the new style injectors. Wondering if the old 95 had the bigger cam still compared to the newer style

I've been looking forward the answers of more experienced GM engine users. As noone replied yet, I have decided to post my $0.03.
Aluminum plenum engine kind does not have the MAF sensor, just a MAP one. It's very easy to install an LPG gas installation based on the air/gas intake mixer[1].
I'd say plastic plenum is way easier for maintenance. As, for example. the fuel pressure port is easily accessible from top, while the aluminum one has the fuel line nipples located at the vertical backside of the engine. Same goes for the intake vacuum hose.
As far. as I remember, in a plastic plenum, the fuel intake route has been shortened, so this one should have a better inertia than the older design.
These are my observations so far. I am bringing the TTT curious of others experience.

[1] Although I am not a fan of.

Plastic pleniums are easier maintaince but are more prone to breakage and cracks. When you are putting things back be sure to not over tighten them.

Totally agreed. I'd love to put one on my 2000 for that reason alone.
