Default Accessory inflator

So after having a flat tire this weekend I remembered seeing in the owners manual of our '01 Blazer that they offered an air inflator system that was mounted in the rear cabin behind the panel on the right. Can anyone comment on how well these worked, or if it is even worth looking for ?
I've looked in the past every time I went to the you pull it yard but have never seen one. I could just get the usual plug into cig lighter kind, but then it would just be something else thrown in the back like everything else, my wife's none too careful about what she puts back there lol.

I've never seen one at the yard either. Never knew it was a thing until now.

If I'm not mistaken, I had a 99 Olds Silhouette minivan years ago that had one.....it didn't work when I got the van but remember thinking it was cool. Maybe similar and can be retro fitted.

I talked to my nephew who's a Blazer nut and he's never seen one either. I don't know when the option started but maybe it gained a bad rep that no one wanted to spend money on. I figured it would be pretty handy if they work ok.

I'll have to start checking mini vans then too. I had the cover open on that side just checking everything out when we first bought it and seen the cellular crap and OnStar stuff in there and didn't know what it was so looked through the manual to see what it was. That's when I noticed the part about the tire inflator. I'd bet that little inflator was made to fit a whole host of vehicles so I may find one yet.
