I thought I was having problems with the blower motor since last winter. It would work intermittently, but usually wouldn't say on for more than a few minutes. I'll admit that I put off this problem way too long, but when you're unemployed things can get really tight.
After freezing my tail off for the last 2 winters
, I talked to a guy I work with about a month ago and he told me that maybe the relays were bad or maybe a loose ground. I checked the wiring and the grounds and everything seemed to be tight, so then I went to pick n pull and found 3 of the relays, but they didn't help. Then about two weeks ago I went and started poking around engine compartment (after I seen this video) and kinda pushed and pulled on the two wires that go to the blower motor and one of them moved ever so slightly (1/32"). Started up the blazer and forced air finally came out of the vents.
So far, so good. It's worked so far.
May not be the same problem you are having, but worth a shot.

i wish, mine has been making some weird sounds lately. sometimes it will only cut out half way and blow lightly on level 4. then if i crank to 1 then 4 again it will start up for a while, then slowly die again. sometimes cutting right out.
but in the video he says you dont have to replace the surrounding plastic and people say you might get fumes/smoke/exhaust entering. i wonder why gm didnt make a replacement part for that when they know you'll eventually be servicing it.
