Broken bolt on thermostat housing

A broken bolt can be a real bear to get out on occasion. Here is one of the best mechanics on the internet almost getting beaten:

Unhappy those methods wont work...

It's drilled in too deep to make any sense of what's bolt and what's hole...

look at bottom "hole", drilled out so much that you cannot tell what was the bolt and what's the frame...

The bolt is in the middle of the "ear" as seen on the other side. The nut gets centered and if chosen so that the ID is smaller than the broken bolt your all good. Now as shown in the last video even a talented mechanic can struggle but after the TIG welding, heat, cooling, impact, etc is your friend.

A set of intake gaskets, (which it probably needs anyway), and a $20 boneyard intake manifold, could save a lot of time and grief.
