i've got a 2004 Blazer 4dr 4wd ls package and the door hinge had a ceramic bushing in the hinge pin to prevent the scweaking sound everytime you open the door, well it broke off and the hinges are welded in, is there an easy fix to this annoying problem

As long as you get to it before the hole gets egg shaped to bad you can get a hinge repair kit on e-bay or local auto parts stores. The one kit i found uses bronze bushings instead of ceramic... but they still fail without proper care and maintainence...they cost about $8-$10 per door...body shops will charge $80 per door if you can't do it yourself...

Yup, replace the bushings and pins NOW. Welded in hinges are not relevant.

buy stock in bush pins......you will replace them frequently.....not too hard to do though

I"ve got this problem and the racket when I open the door is pretty annoying. I'm not sure what you are talking about though, parts wise. Any pictures of the problem and the parts solution? I can't tell exactly where the squeaking is coming from.

Rick
