Default ECM and blown fuse

I keep blowing the fuse to the ECM, has anyone had the same problem, think it's #10 on the fuse panel, a 20 amp fuse, will blow when driving or when trying to start truck it's never consistent, did this about 6 months ago, now it's happened 3 times this week, if I let it sit for awhile it might start up and run fine.
What other circuits run off this fuse or is it only the ECM, thinking I have a ground/short circuit some where, I have several electrical problems, I can live with not having interior lights, have to do things to make the horn, windows, seat, heater, wipers work, but if my truck keeps shutting down, I can;t live with that.

Here is a list of what's on fuse #10, (pink wire). Could be any one or more of these, or the wiring going to each component:

all 6 injectors
crankshaft position sensor
canister purge solenoid on intake manifold
camshaft position sensor
EVAP vent solenoid near fuel tank
EGR valve
all 4 oxygen sensors
ECM, doubtful this is the problem though

EDIT: keep in mind that if you disturb the crankshaft position sensor, you will need to perform the crankshaft position sensor relearn with a capable (high dollar) scanner.

Thanks Captain, weather permitting going to start digging in and around the engine bay, can you give me a little more info on the camshaft position sensor, where is it and what does it look like, do I need to worry about disconnecting it, or any other thing that I need to be careful for applying to it.
Thanks, Mike.

Camshaft position sensor is inside the distributor cap. The 3 wire connector is conveniently located between the firewall and the distributor You can unplug the sensor and the engine will start and run. Might be a good test to drive it while it's unplugged, if the fuse pops, the CMP sensor is NOT the problem.

As long as you use a DVOM, you aren't going to damage anything. A test light can damage certain circuits in the PCM, but you've got plenty of other stuff to check before you get to that. Besides, they rarely fail anyway... on their own
